We believe in the reality of answered prayer and our Healing Ministry is its centerpiece.
We do not suppose that God will answer our prayers.
We KNOW God always answers prayers, because that is the Nature of God.
What is Spiritual Mind Treatment?
Treatment is an affirmative prayer. Dr. Ernest Holmes states, "Treatment is clearing the thought of negation, doubt and fear, and causing it to perceive the ever-presence of God.” Treatment is not asking, begging or supplicating God to change circumstances. It is instead raising your consciousness (belief system) to accept the Truth that God has already given us all that is necessary to experience a healthy, prosperous life.
Must I be present for Treatment to work?
No, treatments are just as effective whether your Practitioner is in your physical presence, on the phone, or across the country. There is only One Mind, that Mind being the Mind of God, and it is everywhere present. What is known and affirmed as the truth in the Practitioner's mind, rises to the level of experience in the mind of the one being treated.
Can I Treat for myself?
Certainly. The following words are a simple treatment designed to help you focus on raising your consciousness and your level of experience. "There is One Universal Life, and I am unified with It. I declare that within this Divine Life is contained all that I need for a healthy, happy, prosperous life. I accept this good gladly, turning away from any appearance to the contrary. In deep gratitude I give thanks to God. And So It Is."
Who and what is a Practitioner?
You will find that a Practitioner is a friend, a person of high spiritual integrity and trained in the Principles of Mind and the Laws of Life. Your Practitioner is dedicated to helping others live more fully and respects your confidence through a high code of ethics. The climate of your relationship with a Practitioner is loving, sharing and professional. Not only does your Practitioner provide you with initial help, but he or she also works with you in a preventative way to eliminate recurrences of negative situations. We encourage you to find a Practitioner that feels right for you and experience a new life.
There is nothing mysterious about the Practitioner's work. Just like the mathematician, your Practitioner has learned Principles and how to apply them for a specific purpose. Both know that after correct application the right answer will be revealed. We must remember that the Power is in the PRINCIPLE. Experiencing the Power and Presence of Principle comes only when our relationship is in complete harmony and alignment with it. "For That Is The Way It Works" from within to the without.The basic guiding Principles of the Practitioner are:
God is whole, complete and perfect, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and is the ONE MIND which is our mind now. What is believed in Mind reflects into form and action in accordance with the Principle of Mind. Know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.
The Practitioner, knowing that changing the belief changes experiences, uses a process called "Spiritual Mind Treatment" in order to remove the erring belief and accept the Truth. Dr. Jack Addington states: "Treatment is scientific prayer. It is an individual thought process whereby man's thinking is directed away from the need or problem and put in direct alignment with the Divine Mind, thereby enabling him to receive his highest good."
How does the healing get from the Practitioner to the one requesting the healing?
When one person requests help from another, they are mutually connected in consciousness. The practitioner knows there is only one Mind and that knowing the Truth about the requester is equally true everywhere in the one Mind. Thus the Practitioner proceeds to establish a consciousness of perfection about the requester, realizing that this Truth in the one Mind must be expressed in the life of the requester because they are one in consciousness. The Practitioner knows that Perfection already exists in the One Mind of God so the only change that is to be made is to release the erring belief and to accept the Truth which already exists.
We can liken the One Mind to a room with two people in it. At night the requester might desire to be freed from the darkness. The Practitioner realizes that by turning the "light" on for him or herself, the Practitioner can free the requester from the darkness. Knowing in Mind about the laws of "light" and "electricity," the Practitioner can proceed to Mentally align his or herself with these laws and know that when they light a candle or turn on the light switch they will experience the "light" and the requester's desire is fulfilled at the same time. The Practitioner did not create the light but used the knowledge of light and the way light works. From this we can understand the importance of our relationship with Truth. A relationship with a practitioner is a loving experience and an opportunity to which you can look forward with great expectancy. Go ahead and initiate a new and supportive relationship today.

Ministry of Prayer:
On Sunday mornings, the Practitioners meet before or after service to perform treatment (Positive Prayer) for these specific requests. This service is provided by the Practitioner staff as a gift to our community. Although no professional fee is charged, gifts for this service are welcomed. A Request for Treatment, available at the UCPL, may be placed in the silver Treasure Chest or you may submit your Request on-line here
Practitioner of the Day:
Each Sunday a specific Practitioner, identified in the Sunday bulletin as the Practitioner of the Day is in the Sanctuary after service for one-on-one treatment (Positive Prayer). No professional fee is charged by the Practitioner of the Day for their service on that day. It is their gift to our Center and the members of the congregation. Contact us to make your request!
Private Treatment:
You may contact a Practitioner by telephone 24 hours per day, seven day per week, for
one-on-one treatment. Your Practitioner will arrange a personal appointment or will perform treatment for you on the telephone. Practitioners are trained and licensed to perform Spiritual Mind Treatment and charge a $35/hour fee for their professional service. But, Treatment is Never withheld because of an inability to pay. Your Practitioner will simply include that area of prosperity while treating for you.
Spiritual Counseling:
From time to time, everyone needs to be able to talk about what's going on in his or her life. Hopes, dreams, celebrations, troubles, tears, despair are all part of living. The Ministers & Pastors of UCPL offer compassionate, spiritual counseling for people seeking inner peace, deeper understanding and spiritual fulfillment. The Pastors and Ministers are available for private and confidential pastoral spiritual counseling. Their services are $45/hour. The ministers can be contacted below or via our web site here.
